McLoughlin/O'Rourke

Post by James Jamey McLoughlin »

My great grandfather was James McLoughlin, born in
1876 at Carrick on the Shannon, County Leitrim to
Thomas and Mary O'Rourke McLoughln who were both
school teachers. Thomas was the son of James and
Elizabeth McPadden McLoughlin and Mary had a brother
named Michael Felix O'Rourke. I have a rare genetic
nervous system disease that may come from this line.
If anyone can provide me with some info it would be
greatly appreciated.
Jamey McLoughlin
jameym@usit.net
My father, Edward McLoughlin, used to talk about Carrick-on-Shannon. I am not sure what the connection was, but if you would like any information about the branch of the family that lived in Moneen, Co. Cavan please let me know. My brother had a rare disorder, Muscular Atrophy, which manifested itself in his twenties.
James R. McLoughlin
