Owen McDermotts

I am currently seeking information on my gggrandfather and ggrandfather. Their names were the same, Owen. I don't know much about Owen Sr.,other than he was born in Ireland about 1796. His son Owen Jr. was born in 1842 in Ireland. They settled in Butler County, in W. Pa. USA. Owen Jr. married Martha O'Donnell of the same vicinity (Butler County) around 1869-70. I am now at a stand still, I don't know if they may have settled somewhere other than here when both Owens arrived. There are no known siblings for either. If you have any info that I may be able to use please post here. Thank you.

Look for Owen (Sr. and Jr.) on the 1850 census and try NY as the state to look. Have you also put a request for help on the MacDermot.com board? Many of us have information and read it often. <br>
