I have just purchased three great books on Leitrim.<br>I purchased mine from Kennys Bookstore in Galway, but you can probably get some of them from the Letirim Heritage Society or the Carrick on Shannon Historical Society.<br>The books are A Flame Now Quenched Rebels and Frenchmen in Leitrim, by Fr. Liam Kelly, Leitrim and Longford 1798 by Des Guckian, and Leitrim and the Croppies by Gerard MacAtasney. Lots of local lore and all are fascinating to read. Leitrim has such an interesting and tragic history. Thanks to these authors we can learn about what took place and appreciate the strength and endurance of our ancestors.
