Where is Tubber?

My grandfather's was born in Tubber. His birth was registered in the District of Williamstown, in the Superintendent Registrar's District of Glennamaddy, in the County of Galway in 1884. My mother feels strongly that Tubber is in Co. Roscommon. Can anyone verify this? Is Tubber a village of Ballymoe? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Westmeath. You are right about your Galway information above. It is confusing, genealogy libraries have books with all the names of towns and what counties they appear it, and there is probably something like that on-line.
