My grandfather was from Roscommon. I believe the town in which he lived was Castlerae. His name is Edward McDermott and his date of birth is approximately 1893. I know that we are also related to the Lennons and Bolands thru my grandfather's side. I have his U.S. citizenship papers and what is odd is that his nationality is listed as British, which if this is the case, he would then be of Scottish desent and perhaps the family moved to Roscommon. The only other thing that I know is that he has a cousin named Delia. Can anyone help me with information? Thanks so much and Merry Christmas!
