I have found out that my ggrandfathers, Daniel Banks father was Daniel Banks and his mother was Elizabeth Gilchrist. If anyone have ANYTHING on these two surnames I would appreciate it. My ggrandfather, Daniel emigrated to the US, NYC in 1870 was naturalized in 1876 and married Mary Shanly in 1878. A name on his naturalization papers was Raymond Mallon. This was probably a friend that was a witness for him. I would like to know more about the Banks and Gilchrist families and would really appreciate any information. We are planning a big reunion in the year 2000 and I need information for my book. Thanks
