Looking for links to the family of Luke Raftery (b: about 1870; d: 1921)and Catherine Ryan (b: about 1878; d: 1929).<p>They had seven daughters who all came to the United States: Bridget, Ellen, Mary, Kathleen, Madeline, Lillian and Josephine.<p>Luke's parents were: Patrick Raftery and Bridget Weir. <p>Catherine's parents were: Michael Ryan and Ellen Ryan.

They raised 7 children (Ellen, Bernard, Martin, Michael, Margaret, Anne, Matthew) on the Knight family farm in Upper Clougher, Ballinlough, County Roscommon. The property is still in the hands of the Raftery family today.<p>
