I had always wanted to do a geneological search but never got around to it. Then I saw your posting. Very exciting! His name was John and he immigrated to the US in or around 1910. I know he had several brothers, a James and Thomas I believe. Would love to hear from you if this is a valid connection. Regards, Marianne

Re: Giblins of Mayo
The town is Charlestown...pronounced "Char'les town". One of my great-aunts was married to a Patrick Giblin from Kilasser, Swinford (not far from Charlestown), who died fairly young earlier this century, but I do know there are still Giblins in the area. The Swinford phone book lists a John in Barnacogue, Swinford. Do you know where in Charlestown your Giblin family member was from? That would be very helpful. Many of the older area residents would surely know of your family members, if they emmigrated in this century. I visit fairly often...was there a few weeks ago and will be again in March, I think. So if you have any further information about them, email me. I have lots of friends and family in the area and may be able to help, with a little adiitional information.
Marianne Colleran Caven
culmoresm@aol.com
: : I am despert to find a Micheal Giblin in Charleston or is it Charlestown, Co.
