Fineran/Gannon - Roscommon

Post by Jack Fineran »

Looking for information on Patrick Fineran and his wife Margaret Gannon
both born in Roscommon abt 1820-1830. They had a son Martin Patrick,
born about 1848, and a daughter Belle. I've been told they left
Ireland for America, but the ship they were on went down and only
Martin and Belle survived.
I know this is not much to go on, but this is all I have.
Thanks for the help.

There aren't too many, but I think my Finnerans, Hanleys and McCormicks were from there originally and were in Coloonfinlough Parish a bit later. Both parishes are adjacent to Strokestown.
