Hi:
I'm planning a trip to Ireland in August. I'd like to visit Derrycahill, the place of my g-father's birth (Michael Joseph Kelly, 8/1886). But, I can't find it. Can someone help?
Thanks,
Janice Kelly Belmonte

Janice,
Derrycahill is a townland near the village of Dysart in County Roscommon. Dysart is on the Athlone to Tuam road and is closer to Athlone. Best of luck on your Irish visit.

Hi Michael:
Thank you for responding so quickly. Do you by any chance know anyone in Derrycahill? Do you know how I could find a telephone directory for it? Do you know if there are any bed and breakfasts nearby?
Thanks so much.

Try a Google search by putting in any of the names mentioned, you may come up with some information.Athlone is the largest town close to dysart & it has plenty of accomodation. Good luch. Margaret

Hi, just logged on and wondered if you found Derrycahill. My family came from there and we are related to the Kelly's of Derrcahill. My Great Aunt Anne Lynch married Tom Kelly, don't know if this comes anywhere in your family tree. Anne was born round about 1882. My Aunt and Uncle have a cottage in Derrycahill and are over there now.
