This is very much a long shot. I am looking for information about my Great Great Grandfather James Gaffiney who was born in Ireland. Unfortunately I don't know what part of Ireland. He was born about 1819 he married Martha whose father John Breedon is described as a farmer. He had a son Thomas who was born in Ireland in 1839 and they must have come over to England early 1840s. They settled in Rochdale and worked in the cotton industry. Martha had a daughter in 1849 but James was not named as father on the birth certificate nor was he stated as being deceased. The link back to Ireland is very important for me to trace and any help would be greatly appreciated. Alan
