Hi All I was searching around this AM and found this website
from Boston College.
It is a database of ads placed in the Boston Pilot Newspaper.
description from the website
"From October 1831 through October 1921, the Boston Pilot newspaper printed a “Missing Friends” column with advertisements from people looking for “lost” friends and relatives who had emigrated from Ireland to the United States. This extraordinary collection of more than 31,438 records is available here as a searchable online database, which contains a text record for each ad that appeared in the Pilot. "

Hi Jane,
I do not know much about the FLYNNs, Rose Flynn married Thomas Prior. Her brother Thomas came to the US in 1865.
Thomas is found in Lynn, Ma Census from 1870 - 1900.
Some of Thomas & Rose's children came over to USA in 1895
and named as contact, "Uncle Thomas Flynn... of Elizabeth St., Lynn, Ma.
Thomas Flynn was b.Jan 1842, his wife's name was ANN
Ann was b. 1835 in Ireland & died before 1900
and the name Isabella is repeated among the families.
