Business Directories for Carrick-on-Shannon

Hello all,
Does anyone know if any business directories exist for the late 1800's for the Carrick-on-shannon area?
My great grandfather John Doyle was reportedly a restaurant owner from the Carrick-on-Shannon area. Does anyone know of any records I could turn to, to find out what restaurant he owned? Is it still there today?
John Doyle was born sometime prior to 1850 and died between 1894 and 1901. His wife Ester is listed as a widow in the 1901 census. Her occupation in that census is listed as a being a farmer.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
