McDermott Family - Carrick on Shannon

Hello,
Trying to trace my father's family but the only information I have is that grandfather was called Thomas McDermott, 1889-1963, married to Mary Ann O'Hara 1885-1963.
The family were apparently quite well known in Carrick, particularly Tommy McDermott (died 1967) and who drove a wagon and mule through the town until his death.
Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks.
