Hugh Kerrigan?

I am starting to rearch my late father's family who lived and worked in Ireland, although his father moved from Ireland to Scotland and is registered on the 1901 census in Coatbridge Lanarkshire.
My father, his father and even his grandfather were all named Hugh Kerrigan.
Looking at records on this website, I note that in the 1901 census for Lietrim-Roscommon there is a record which is very likely to be the Hugh Kerrigan and family I am looking for.
Townland-Mullanaleck
Parish-Rossinver
Barony-Rosclogher
County-Leitrim
Hugh Kerrigan-58
Anne(62)-wife
Bernard(19)-son
All these names and dates match bearing in mind that my grandfather is recorded at this time in Scotland.
The only other pieces of information I have relating to this entry is that the head of the household is shown as a farmer.
On my grandfathers death certificate dated 1945 his father Hugh was a farmer married to Anne-nee Clancy but no reference to the part of Ireland they lived although I remember my father telling me at one time that he thought they came from Bundoran which I believe is not a million miles away from where they were recorded on the 1901 census.
Has anyone come across reference to these Kerrigans in their own researches or can anyone suggest how I can narrow down the search to find out exactly where they lived/farmed please?
