I am researching my Gaffney and Daugherty ancestors. Margaret Gaffney was born around 1821 to Charles Gaffney and Catherine Lee Gaffney. Margaret married Patrick Daugherty in Ireland. Patrick was born around 1818 in Ireland (may have been Dublin or Roscommon). I am seeking information on her Gaffney family.
Here is some information on Margaret.
Margaret Gaffney was born in Roscommon, Ireland on Dec.8, 1820 to Charles and Catherine Lee Gaffney. . She married Patrick Daugherty in Ireland. The couple came to USA and landed in Boston with one child Charles around 1846. They lived in Boston, Massachuetts for several years. Their second child Catherine "Kate" Daugherty was born in 1848 in Boston. The couple and their children moved around 1854 to Oxford Twp OH where they farmed for over 40 years. Margaret died on June 8,1910 and was buried June 11,1910 at St. Mary’s cemetery in Hamilton, Butler County OH.
Children were Charles, Catherine "Kate', Mary(died at age of 9,Thomas,Anna, Margaret, John, Mary, James.

I just found out more information about Patrick and Margaret Gaffney Doherty (Daugherty) . Records of Kilronan parish say that Patrick Doherty and Margaret LEE Gaffney were married on Jan 26 1843 . Witness were Peter Mulkeerin and Anna Geyer.
Patrick and Margaret immigrated to the USA around 1846 or so with their son Charles .
