I was very interested in your Cavanagh and Durr families because my GGgrandparents were James and Elizabeth Cavanagh. When they moved from Ireland in the late 1850s they settled in Runcorn in Cheshire, UK. Next door to the Cavanaghs lived James and Honora Durr who also had moved there from Ireland. Unfortunately I don't know where in Ireland they came from but my Ggrandfathers brothers, Michael and Anthony Regan who came from Roscommon (Castlerea I believe) lodged with the Durrs and their brother John, lived with the Cavanaghs and eventually married their daughter Annie, my GGrandmother.
James Durr was a witness to the marriage. I think it is most likely that these Cavanaghs and Durrs, if not related, probably
came from the same place in Ireland.
