I just discovered this site and got my hopes up when I found Wayne McGreevy's posts. Unfortunately they were posted in the late 1990s and his email address is defunct.

My maternal grandmother, Kate, bleonged to the same family as his grandfather, John. They both immigrated to Australia. Their parents were John McGreevy (aged 63 in the 1901 census) and Ellen Boland, Carrownvally, near Strokestown. Other children were James, Thomas, Anne, Michael, John, Kate and Lena. I believe two of the children remained in Ireland.

If anyone knows anything of these familes' forebears (Bolands or McGreevys) or how to contact Wayne, I'd be grateful for the information.

I believe I am your 2nd cousin from Brisbane.

Ursula (Lena's Grand-daughter in Ireland) has just contacted me. I have several photos of Kitty who was very close to my Grandmother Anne (Annie) who also came to Brisbane but earlier and with Michael McGreevy (While Kitty (Kate) came with John (Jack).

I see Frank ( from USA) had repplied to you but Wanye's Email address is non-functional.
