Leitrim-Roscommon

I live in the US and have been over to Ireland twice. I know that I have relatives still living in the area but all of the information on them was lost shortly before my first visit. I know that my Great-great grandfather (John O'Rourke) was born near Longford and left to live in County Durham England, where he worked in the mines. My great grandfather was born in England and was living there during the 1860 census but came to the US and settled in Indiana later in the 19th century.
My Great-grandmother was Nancy McLaughlin and I believe her family came from Leitrim. They also went to England in the mid-1800s where she was born.
I am not sure, but believe they were married prior to coming to the US in the late 1800s.
Would love any information on my families history or remaining relatives.

am researching to help a friend...tho it's possible my own grandfather managed to travel the 14 miles from sligo town into manorhamilton during his early years...

we visited the kilmakerrill graveyard two years ago, hit upon it shining in the afternoon sunlight, all dewy from a recent rain...fascinated to learn it was registered by clonmacnois in the 10th century...think it's possible my friend's ancestors may be buried there but how would we know?...

any help/info would be very welcome...slainte and thanks much

You can look at the 1901 census on this site and find Clancys in Glenboy and lots of McLoughlins in the townland of Bronagh.

If you have the Ordnance Survey map number 26 you can see both places. Bronagh is up the mountain, south, of the main road from Manor Hamilton to Blacklion. The map shows it as being planted in forestry and having a site or ruins of a sweathouse.
