i am searching for my grandfather who was born in roscommon about 1868.he joined the r i c in 1891 and died in belfast 1918.his name was john joseph tiernan.

MY grandfather was born in Boyle roscommon in 1898 son of Michael tiernan Ox hill and mother nee Fiorry. Might be a connection?

The LDS British Isles Vital records CD lists a number of 1868 births for John Tiernan.

Do you know the names of his parents?
