JOHN ROURKE b 1824 in Leitrim (Cloone,Carrigallen ???),immig to NY 1853, m MARY CONDON,moved to Williamsburgh,B'klyn 1859 3children,John L b 1861, Mary E b 1863, James J b 1865.JOHN died in B'klyn 1869. Had bro HUGH ROURKE and friend THOMAS TAGGART. Seeking info on Leitrim birthplace.

You'll be very lucky to find anything. If it is Cloone (Civil parish) then only Cloone RC parish has baptisms as early as 1824 (They start 1822/23). Aughavas is the 1840s and many of the other parishes as late as 1870's in some cases. I don't know about Carrigallen.
Do you have any idea at all about Townland?
Was brother Hugh older or younger? If younger, how much younger?
answers to either of these may prove a (a very) slight help./

For Cloone Catholic parochial records see LDS film 1279223.
The film lists baptisms 1820-1927, Marriages 1823-1921 and burials 1850-1878 & 1919-1921.
