I have pretty much narrowed down the townland of my Reynolds and McGovern ancestors and it appears to be Corderry Peyton in South Leitrim. The online phone books do not show either name currently in Corderry Peyton. However, I did find an obituary online for a Mary Ellen Reynolds of Corderry Peyton who died in 2001, apparently unmarried at age 92, leaving brother, sister, nephews, nieces, etc.
Would be most interested in locating any of these relatives and/or other information about Corderry Peyton.
My grandmother, Bridget Reynolds, born in 1876 to Patrick Reynolds and Ann McGovern of Corderry Peyton, left for America in 1898.

Hello,
Do you know who the parents or siblings of the Patrick Reynolds you mentioned are? I am trying to find my reynolds relations in leitrim as well. I do know that when my great-grandfather michael reynolds, received his naturalization in new york in it was a mcgovern(charles i believe) who signed as his witness.
Don't know if that helps, but i could probably find the address he listed on the card for you.

I believe, but am not positive, that my great-grandfather Patrick Reynolds' parents were an earlier Patrick Reynolds & Ann Gaffney (? - writing on microfilm was not clear).
"My" Patrick was born to them on February 20, 1848 in Corderry Peyton. On June 16, 1870, "my" Patrick was married to Ann McGovern. The foregoing information was gleaned from the Latter Day Saints microfilm holdings.
I'm sorry I do not have any siblings for either Patrick.

A genealogist's dream! I have recently returned from a visit to Ireland and the townland, Corderry Peyton in South Leitrim, where my grandmother Reynolds was born. Not only that, but inquiries at Gertie's Pub in nearby Keshcarrigan, led my daughter and I to meet a man who is a third cousin (we share the same great-great-grandparents) on my grandmother's mother's McGovern side of the family.
Not only was this person very hospitable to us, he also took us to the house (still standing) where my grandmother was born in 1876, her father Patrick Reynolds in 1848 and who knows how many other earlier Reynolds!
This was an incredible experience! I wish all other searchers such a find.
I also did research at the General Register Office in Dublin and was able to fill in some more blanks!
