Ferguson and Connolly Families - Kinlough Parish, Leitrim

I am hoping that someone may have a connection to or further information about my Ferguson and Connolly ancestors.

My great grandparents John Ferguson and Mary Connolly were married 27 November 1869 in Kinlough Roman Catholic parish, Kinlough District. John Ferguson was from Derinloughin townland and his father was Patrick Ferguson. Mary Connolly was also from Derinloughin townland and her father was Bernard Connolly. I have been told that John Ferguson was a Justice of the Peace.

I have located the family in the 1901 census in Derrinloughan Townland, Rossinver Civil Parish. John and Mary had 9 children:
Patrick b 1870
Anne b 1872
Catherine b 1874
Bernard b 1876
Charles b 1879
Hannah b 1881
Briget b circa 1883
Peter b 1885
John b circa 1889
James b circa 1901

Peter, Anne, Hannah and Bridget immigrated to Canada and apparently Patrick took over the family farm when his father died. I do not know what happened to the other members of the family but I would like, if possible, to find out.

I have been told that the Ferguson family had lived in County Leitrim for many generations but I am not sure where to look next for earlier generations. I have no information on my Connolly ancestors and I would be very appreciative of any help in that regard as well.
