connaughtons in ballagh/balla/bohola?

Hello friends,am looking for info on my grt grt grandfather Patrick Connaughton c1820..On the 1861 english census he states he is from Bajla,could this be Ballagh Roscommon or Balla/Bohola in Mayo??He was married in Ardcarn in 1845 to Catherine McGee,and there first born baptised there a year later..Any help much appreciated..Kevin
