The works of the Late Cannon Hurley, Parish Priest of Cloontuskert / Kilgefin Parish are now being uploaded.
Cannon Hurley had a weekly section in the Roscommon Herald in the late 1930's early 1940's in which he documented the history of his parish in great detail.

Brilliant site with much interesting information. My grandmother was born in Gortgallon.
