Searching for info regarding Patrick Mulvey born early 1800's in Cloone (possibly). Moved to Moneyboy, nr Tulsk where he shows up on Griffiths Valuation. He had 2 sons and one daughter. Trying to find out where he was at time of Tithe Applotment ? Cloone. Any ideas of how to find out about his early life - name of wife etc etc. greatly appreciated. thank you, Kath Crawley

Have you any idea of the names of his children and the approx years of birth? I am working on the Cloone parish records but at the moment (up to 1836) there are no Pat Mulveys. Maybe later!
In the Tithe for Cloone there was a Pat Mulvey in Derrindrehid and another in Breanross but without more details you are at a dead end.

Hi Jim, Patrick Mulvey died in 1871, his death cert states him as being 80 years old. His sons were Michael born approx 1831, died 1903. Michael married Sara McDermott. Son no 2 was Martin Mulvey born approx 1844 died 1908. He married Ellen Smyth who died 1874 age 36 making her birth date approx 1838 which is possibly incorrect as she would have been 6 yrs older than Martin.(She had 3 children to Martin who all emigrated to US after her death). Martins second wife was Bridget McNieve who had many children (all born Kilcooley, Roscommon I think). His daughter was Mary about whom I know nothing. It is from a relation in US that I got the info that Patrick was born in Cloone but I'm afraid thats all she knew. If you find any info on any Mulveys in Cloone I would be very interested. Thanks for your help, Kath
