Many thanks to Ed Gaffney and John Hunter for the response to my postings and also for their encouragment.I am now getting to grips with my ancestry search. I have read "Is There more In Griffith's Valuation Than Just Names", and have ordered the LDs Vital Records CDs. I look forward to widening my search.
