I'm looking for any info on my ggrandmother, Jane Connor who was married to Edward Regan and lived in the townland of Clooncah. She is listed in the 1901 census living with my ggrandfather and several of their children, but I have no information regarding her parents or family. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

My guess is that your answer lies with the Connor families that are listed for Clooncah in the 1901 Census. It may be that Bernard was a brother of your Jane as one of his daughters is also named Jane. The parents may be Timothy and Mary who lived next door to Bernard.

Today, there is one entry for a Connor in Clooncah (now spelled Clooncagh) in the Irish Telephone White pages:
Teresa Connor
Clooncagh, Strokestown, County Roscommon
(As dialed from the U.S.) 011-35371-963-3401

Good luck in your research

Thanks Mike. I'd visited Clooncagh briefly 3 years ago to visit some Regan cousins, but didn't have the time to try to locate any Connors who might have been related. Thanks again for the suggestion. James Regan.
