I am researching the above names,OWEN COSTELLO born around 1832.Immigrated to USA as a young child. Was found in 1870 census living in Branchdale,Schuylkill County PA. Wife was ANN DONLAN or some variation of DONLAN, born around 1839.Moved to Hazleton PA area around 1971. In 1880 census for Hazle Township Luzerne County PA,found OWEN and ANN, and also JAMES COSTELLO born around 1843 wife MARY,boarder PATRICK DONLAN age 60,and THOMAS COSTELLO born around 1840,and MICHAEL COSTELLO born around 1842. The only clue I have to where in Ireland they might be from is somewhere near the border of Co Mayo and Roscommon,in a place that sounds like LATHVEN. ANy help appreciated.

ANy help appreciated. <p>I am also researching a CATHERINE COSTELLO who married THOMAS GIBLIN and lived in Roscommon in the early 1800's. Their son, THOMAS GIBLIN was born in 1845 and migrated to PA in the 1850's to 1864 when he headed west to CA. He would have been the same generation as your JAMES, THOMAS & MICHAEL (cousins?). I will try to narrow the location in PA down.<p>

ANy help appreciated. <p>I have reviewed a passenger manifet from the Ellis Island web site, and found the following information.On 4 Aug 1907 the shipCaledonia arrived at Ellis Island from Londonderry. A US citizen named James Costello age 65 was aboard. His address was listed as Wyoming St. in Hazleton, PA. Also aboard was ELIZABETH COSTELLO age 31,single, and an Irish citizen.Her destination was Wyoming St.in Hazleton PA also;she was listed as visiting her cousin Eugene Costello(my grandfather).Her place of birth was listed as Leitrim,Ire.This is the first clue I have as to where my Costello's might have been from. I am interested in any Leitrim Costello history.

ANy help appreciated. <p>I have a few pages of St. Mary's church records, Kiltoghert Parish, Co. Leitrim, and unfortunatly only the R's. There is metion of a few Costello's. Winfort/Winfred Costello and James Rowly had three children Bridget 10 Mar 1836, Edward 2 Aut 1839, and Edward 31 Nov 1841. There is also a Helen Costello who married a Peter Rourke 1895, and a Mary Anne Costello who married a James Rutledge 1880. Sorry I can not be of more help.<p>Amy Blakeney<p>
