Bruen/O'Grady, Boyle

Post by Sheila Harkin »

My great-grandparents Thomas O'Grady and Anne/Honor Bruen married at the parish church in Boyle in December 1859. Anne Bruen's family lived in Boyle, but where did Thomas O'Grady come from? He was born in or around 1838.

One area (Bockagh Hill) was so heavily populated with Gradys that it was called "Grady Villge". Might want to check records of St. Nathy's Church in Ballaghaderren; LDS has them on microfilm.<br>
