Ed Finn - Many Thanks are Owed

Post by Jackie Blanchard »

Just a note to acknowledge the founder of this website, Ed Finn. What a treasure it is! I've met several cousins and gathered much data in the past year, and it all started (and keeps coming back to) this site. I don't know how you--and I know there are others at work as well--keep this up, but may you hear the sound of a thousand cyberspace hands clapping and bowing to your efforts. My humble and personal thanks.

It has proven invaluable to the Ballykilcline Society in its search for descendants. And to me personally in my searches. Thanks, Ed and all, for helping us connect.<br> Mary Lee Dunn

I think Ed Finn is the "BEST". He has helped so many of us in search of our ancestors. Ed, you deserve our utmost thanks - your work here on this website is so appreciated by all of us - thank you so much!!! - Kathleen - from Middletown - (remember 1995 when I first met you!!)

I agree 100%. I have talked to a lot of people on this site as well. It really makes you feel connected to your Irish Roots. Thanks to this site, I have been to the town my Grandparents came from 4 times, and I have been to the cemetaries as well.<br>I think Ed Finn's site is the best. I never realised how many Lietrim Irish are in Rhode Island..<p><br>

Just got back from visiting with my grandmother who turns 100 next year. I can't express how much it meant to her to see printed proof of her family on the 1901 Census here and on the Ellis Island site.<br>So much is lost from one generation to the next...but I found it in a few short months with your help. <br>My time with her was wonderful, but the look on her face when I showed her your printouts was (as the old AM-EX ad goes) "priceless"<p>
