this is just a shot in thre dark,my gt gt grandfather John Burke came from Ireland, I still do not know from where in Ireland, but he was born about 1825, he married in about 1855-56 to Bridget Kelly, their first child James was born in Bacup lancashire in 1856, by the year 1861 they where living in Calvert street Crook Co Durham,unfortunately John died in 1865 still a young man, I just hope someone out there may have a glimmer of help for me.thank you.

ROSCOMMON WAS THE ELDEST OF 7 BROTHERS. I THINK HE EMIGRATED TO PITTSBURGH PA USA BUT HE MAY HAVE RETURNED TO IRELAND. HIS FATHER EDWARD BOURKE(DIFFERENT SPELLING OF LAST NAME) WAS MARRIED TO HONURA/ANNA MCCABE IN ELPHIN CHURCH CO. ROSCOMMON FEB 12 1823. EDWARD WAS THE SEVENTH OF SEVEN BROTHERS SO MAYBE YOUR GGGRANDFATHER WAS A COUSIN.
