I recently bought a used book from a bookstore in Ireland about Father <br>Mathew. When I go it home, it looked as though he had signed the engraved<br>picture of himself in the book. Nowadays, I would be suspicious that<br>the signature was "printed" instead of written. Does anyone know if<br>that was possible or common back then? In other words, is this likely<br>a hand written signature or just a "printed" signature?<p>Thanks for any information any of you might have.
