Are there any O'Neill's at all left in Ireland?? I hardly ever see any references to them and I am trying to research my grandparents and beyond.<br>Daniel O' Neill was my grandfather, married to Ellen Tiernan. Dan was born around 1881 and died in 1969. He was one of 16 children and all went to t he States.Possible sibling names would be Patrick, James , John, Anne and Bridget. Ellen Tiernan was born about 1899 and died in a car accident in 1959.<p>Dan O'Neill's parents were Daniel O'Neill and Mary Masterson, and Ellen's parents were John and Mary Tiernan. Mary Tiernan was apparently a Tiernan before marriage also. Ellen was one of 13 siblings.
