Just an update: Found an Irish 1901 Census entry which indicates that Patrick McManus (54) of an adjacent townland (Linsbrac?)was a school master with a wife Maria (45) who is matron of the workhouse. Their children ages 13 - 1 seem to indicate that they were married about 1886. I think this family ...

There is an interesting book by Lawrence McBride called "Irish Narratives: The Reynolds Letters" A William Lawrence, who se mother Mary O'Toole is from Carrick, dies with some wealth and leaves a will. In the will he mentions relatives back in Carrick and Mohill and a relative Annie Master...

I am currently researching Reynolds (Patrick and Mary m1830 in Carrick, Mohill, Leitrim) and (Peter Toole and Ann Nutley m abt 1805 in Carrick, Anaduff, Leitrim). If you have specific names (father and mother and need a birth) and dates, I can report what I find.

Hi -
As I hunt for a Patrick Reynolds and Mary O'Toole (1830-1849 in Mohill) I have found that corrig becomes carrig becomes carrick. I think you will find that your "corrig" friends are also "carrick" friends.

From the Book by Lawrence McBride, it appears that Laurance Reynolds is the son of Mary Toole Reynolds. Appears that Mary has a brother William in Leitrim and a sister Sicily as well.
Still working on Peter Twohill lead.

Mary Ann Reynolds

Mary O'Toole (b 1810?) married Patrick Reynolds (b 1809?) (we suspect around 1830) near Mohill, Leitrim, Ireland. Their daughter, Mary Ann, did not marry, according to family tradition. Their son, Laurence Reynolds married a Mary Kavanagh about 1864 - probably in Chicago, Il, USA. Their children wer...
