I purchased a book about Old Roscommon Town a few years ago called Exploring Family Origns in Old Roscommon Town . Author: Noel Farrell Park Road Longford, written in 1998. I think I purchased it through Amazon. It includes roots of over 100 surrounding Townlands.

:lol: . If you check the homepage on this site & open Transferred Townlands you will find that as a result of The local Govt. Act of 1898 - KILKEERAN in the Civil Parish of Castlemore & the Barony of Costello was transferred from either Mayo or Galway. good luck.
