Re: Gilhooly In Leitrim Ireland
Ralph, Your e-mail address does not work.
I have the parish records for Kilronan Parish. This used to be part of Leitrim, but is now in Roscommon. These records are brimming with the name. There was also some intermarriage between the Gilhoolys and the Guihans (Wynns). I also have proof that the name Gilhooly was sometimes entered in the parish records as Killooly. The same couple have some children registered under one name, and the others under the other.

When my Guihans (and Guihens and Guiheens) moved to Scotland (and became Wynns), from the mid-1840s onwards, some Gilhoolys went with them. Some Gilhoolys also went to England, and I have information about them, too.

If you think I can help, don't hesitate to ask.
