My grandmother, Mary Anne Casey, was born in 1866 to Thomas Casey and Mary Duignan. At age 14 she was sent to Baltimore to stay with two maiden aunts, Kate Casey and Ella Casey. Grandmother married Frank Breeden in 1889 and gave birth to nine children. My mother, Evelyn Joy, was her youngest child. Grandmother told the family that Ballymoe was in County Galway when she left Ireland. However, I realize that in 1899 it became part of County Roscommon.
