I would like to hear from anyone who may have any information regarding John Names 1817-1885.He lived in Drinaun Co Roscommon, from cira 1850. Does anybody know of a previous address for him or the orgin of the surname.

His family is in the 1901 Census as NAMES where you have Michael age 40 plus son John age 10, no doubt named after his grandfather. In the telephone book the family is still there but now it's Thomas Ames, Drinane (another spelling chane), Strokestown. Say hi!<br>
