Re: Nertney/Fallon
Colin
I am also researching the Nerney name as it is my mothers maiden name, she was born in Doughill, Curraghroe. I am not too sure of your geographical knowledge of Roscommon but Doughill is near Strokestown, there were also Nerneys in Killavackan, the townland adjacent to Doughill. Incidentally my grandfather and his father were named Bernard (Nerney) and although I don't think there is a direct connection there I think there is a strong possibility of a connection, do you have any other info?. I have been in touch with other Nerneys in the North of England (Newcastle) although they spell the name Nuttney. I have a fair amount of information on the Nerneys, get in touch via e-mail
Brian

MICHAEL NERTNEY (son of Bernard) – and ELIZABETH FALLON (daughter of Daniel)
: Married in Strokestown Roman Catholic Church, Co.
