Narey(Neary)Nary Family

Post by Dale Lomupo »

My Great Grandmother was Bridget Narey born 1840-1841 in Roscommon. Don't know where in Roscommon. Her Parents were Peter & Mary Narey. Bridget was born in Ireland and then came to American (I thought about age 7) and was married at age 13 to my Great Grandfather Robert Whaley. They lived in Manhasset and them Port Washington, N.Y. where she died in 1894. We are trying to trace Peter & Mary and any other relatives either in Roscommon or the US. Anyone with any information, please respond.
Does anyone know how to get birth certificates from Ireland with only County Roscommon no other information.
Thank you. Dale Lomupo

They disappeared from Birmingham after this time - so they could have gone to the U.S. I'll look up again in the 1851 Census and see if they're there, but I don't think so. Hi,
You might want to check www.Ballykilcline.com There are a few Neary's there. Also, I own a home that once belonged to the Neary Family in NY. They were Irish Immigrants also. The names were John & Sarah Neary. They had several children. Some were Julia, Frances, Gertrude, Sarah, Charles, Joseph, & I'm sure there were more.
Good Luck,
A.M.Bell
