My ggrandmother Bridget Larkin was b 1863 in Roscommon to Michael Larkin & Mary Regan. There was another child, John, b 1865. Bridget & John emigrated to NYC in 1882 and resided in Brooklyn.
In the late 1970s/early 1980s, Helen Larkin Mullins emigrated from Roscommon to NYC with her adult daughter and resided in Brooklyn. She is a distant cousin of mine and says the Larkin family is still in the same town in Roscommon. Sadly, Helen passed and I never got the name of the town.
Do these names sound familiar to anyone?
Thanks in advance.

Roscommon, had 10 children, of whom around 6 emigrated to the USA. Of the boys, Michael, Thomas, Patrick (born 1837) and William (born 1845) left.
I know that Michael was a contractor in New York and may have had a son, James. William lived in Manhatten and had 3 daughters, Anne, Kate and a girl who became Sister Celestine. Family legend says Thomas was married but Patrick remained a bachelor. However, I do not know where they ended up.
What do you think? Do you have any connections to William or Michael?
