I don't know if I can help you, but maybe I could use some of your information. I'm researching the McLaughlins of Providence. One, MICHAEL McLAUGHLIN was married to MARY HANLEY, b. ca 1838, daughter of Luke and Mary Hanley. Mary Hanley McLaughlin died 9 May 1873 at Pavilion Avenue Providence at about 35 years.
Michael and Mary were married in 1863 and had children: Edward, Margaret Frances, Mary Ellen, Elizabeth J., and possibly twins, Catherine and James, b. in April, a month before Mary's death in May 1873. Michael later remarried ANNE WINN, and he subsequently died in 1876 at 39 yrs.
Do you know where in Roscommon these Hanleys came from? If you have any other information about Mary and Michael McLaughlin, it would be great.
: IM RESEARCHING LUKE HANLEY OF RHODE ISLAND.THERE WERE AT LEAST 4 LUKE HANLEYS IN RHODE ISLAND IN THE LATE 1800S ANYONE ELSE RESEARCHING LUKE HANLEYS PLEASE PLEASE GET BACK TO ME. Please tell us more about the ship lists at the Roscommon Library. I didn't know they had any.
