SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, Roscommon

Post by Cynthia »

Does anyone know precisely where Sacred Heart Church is/was. A fellow searchers has an old thank you letter from Rev. T. H. Canon Cummins, Pastor and we strongly suspect he is related to the Sullivan and Hampstons for whom we are searching. From the note, it is fairly obvious the recipient of the letter sent him money. The family was in the Fall Church, MA area (in 1911).
Does this church, if still in existence, have a website? I've looked with miserably disappointing results.
Thank you,
Cynthia

We are researching our McGoverns, some of which lived in Monona Iowa for a short time. During
the course of our research we discovered that a Hugh McGovern is buried
at a cemetary in Monona. Another Hugh comes up on the South Dakota genweb pages. This info is
online, but you'll have to contact
my sister Shelly Schmidt shellymc2@aol.com, to see if she knows how to
get there quick. She is our chief genealogist, and a talented and
charming lady as well. She also has a website with all the McGovern
stuff we know. Perhaps you've run across something that may help us?
