My John Nephin married Ann McGoveren ... and she came, as a widow, to Chichester, Pontiac County Quebec around 1850... with 5 sons and 2 daughters. Roscommon as a link "accross the ocean" has been determined from gravestones in the old Chapeau Quebec RC Cemetary......<p>Any leads appreciated for <p>1... links to Roscommon townland...<p>2. the source of the Nephin name itself... <p>Appendix...<p>Ancestors of Nephin Thaddeus Timothy<br>(30 December 97)<p>1 : Thaddeus Timothy Nephin, born in Roscommon, Ireland in 1834, died in Chapeau, Quebec the 27 April 1904, son of John Nephin and Ann "Muddy" McGoveren), married Margaret McMahon, the 9 August 1860 in Chapeau, Quebec (born in 1842 and died the 22 June 1919 in Chichester, Quebec, daughter of Michael Thaddeus????
