Healy family

Post by Martine »

I am looking for any records relating to my great, great grandfather, Peter Healy, of Boyle Roscommon. He was born about 1823, migrated to Tasmania in 1855 on the Conway. He married Catherine Gallagher, also of Roscommon. Peter Healy died in Tasmania in 1860. Can anyone help with information about his parents, siblings etc?
Many thanks
Martine

The modern Australian death certificates show this and more.
Also, there was a large group of Healys from Knockranny and Dereenavicara townlands, Keadue, Roscommon. This is in the parish of Kilronan. LDS has a film, # 1,279,244 which lists b/m/d for that parish going back to 1835. Albeit not complete, it's a lead. Keadue is in northern Roscommon. My Healys were from Knockranny. Mary Evans mtevans@netlabs.net
