REDICAN: Leitrim

My great grandfather, Peter Redican, was born approx. 1856 and came to England from Ireland. He married Mary Ann Cox in 1880, at Stockton on Tees. Peter’s elder brother, James (born around 1849) travelled from Ireland with him and married Helen Casey, also at Stockton on Tees, in 1878. Family folk lore indicates there were four brothers, of which two remained in Ireland, and that the family came from Leitrim. According to the marriage details of Peter and James, their father was also named James.<br>Any information with regard to this family would be greatly appreciated.<br>
