Seeking any family members related to Patrick McPartlin. Patrick McPartlin born 1868 (or so) in Leitrim. One lead I had said he was married to Briget Grimes and their children were John, Francis (Frank), Thomas and Katherine. I do not know when they immagrated to the States nor when they arrived in Cincinnatti. I tried the Ellis Island link and could not find any info that fit. I have confirmed with the 1920 Census Cincinnatti, OH shows Patrick living alone at 519 W. 2nd St. I know for a fact Frank was one of his children, born 2/10/1898 in Cincinnatti, Ohio. Frank shacked up with Beatrice Bauer and together they had 3 children, Wanda Beatrice, Frank Jr. and another boy that died as an infant. Any information could be helpful! Thank you in advance.

Well, I have new leads- Confirmed through a death Cert that Patrick McPartlin was born in Leitrim and his father's Name was John McPartlin, name of mother is not listed. A realtive remembers finding him an a passenger list in 1889 from Eng. to NY. But I cannot find that leadT to confirm. There is some conflict in regards to his bday, 1900 census has March 1868. The 1920 census said he was 60 which would make his birth year 1860ish. BUT info from the Social Security Death Index reflects his age at death in 1939 is 75 which would make his year of birth about 1864ish. I do not know if they were any other siblings. I find Miles, Owen & Thomas living very nearby. Not sure the realtionship. Any information or information on how to proceed in researching would be helpful! Thank you in advance.

Dear Laura I saw your posting re Pat Mc Partlin my great grandfather was also Pat Mc Partland from the general area All Mc Partlan/Partlin and Mc Partlands lived all descendants of families in Drumkeerin, Dowra (leitrim) and Arigna(Roscommon/Sligo) where many Mc Partlands lived until emigrating in 19 century to US and UK Only 5 mins by car today, both villages brimmed with our ancestors until they went away to the new world.Records from 1-1-1864 available for birth death and marriage Joyce House lombard St East Dublin 2 The document should give more detail and verify his place of birth and parents' detailsSome info is available through the 1901 census on leitrim-roscommon site under 1901 census If you work out his age or any relative's ages at the time this may reveal what you are looking Let me know how you get on Happy searching Marcas O Murchu

Couple of things I was able to verify per a will, census records and birth/death certs, in case anyone else out there needs this info- Owen and Anne's children were- Patrick, Bridget (who married a Clavin), Myles (went by Michael), Catherine, Mary (married a Hoffman and had 3 boys Harry, Edward and James), Thomas and Anne. Frank Frances McPartlin's DOB was Feb. 10, 1898 (the child of Patrick). Patrick's date of birth per death cert was March 19, 1864. We all know how reliable death cert info is so....take that one with a grain of salt. I am finding a connection with the Sheridan's as they are sharing burial plots and an not sure of the connection. I have a lot more questions for Marty, my cousin, if you are out there please contact me...want to make sure I am on the right path.
