Roscommon townland

Post by David Killion »

I came across a possible relatives U S citizenship papers that stated that he was born in 1812 at Highbell in the County of Roscommon.I don't believe that this was a townland but maybe the name of an estate.Has anyone ever heard of Highbell?

Just kidding! Realtors have a way of re-naming places. May I suggest you look in Highbog, Rahara parish, where btw, you'll find several Killion/Killian in Griffith's Valuation.
