I realize that the 1901 is online, but I am wondering if the actual census entries list the County of Birth - as the 1911 cesnus does? I am trying to verify if my g grandfather was born in Co Roscommon (abt 1833) or elsewhere. He had died by the 191 census.

1901 CENSUS
Re: 1901 CENSUS
Hi, Judy! You might try researching the 1901 and 1851 Census at www.familysearch.org (the Mormon Library site). You won't be able to research it online. However, they have local libraries all over the U.S., where they wil assist you in ordering the appropriate microfiche from Salt Lake. The charge is only $3 or $4. I haven't had an opportunity to pursue it but am planning on doing so soon. Good luck with your search. - Martha Jane
